Business applications • Web products • Experiments

I design and develop business applications, from requirements analysis to implementation and testing. My work draws on rigour, an understanding of how people use software, and a curiosity that extends beyond it.

Examine ideas

Engage with opposing arguments and understand where disagreements lie

As a software developer and IT analyst at PREPAR-VIE, I work on business applications in the life insurance sector. My background combines computing and finance, requirements analysis, development and an understanding of operational constraints.

What engages me extends far beyond this field: human and collective questions, behaviour, the quality of public debate and democratic participation. My thinking draws on psychology, sociology, philosophy and geopolitics, alongside questions of freedom, responsibility, and individual and digital sovereignty.

I value in-depth discussion, serious engagement with opposing arguments and pluralism. Technology is also an object of critical reflection: I am as interested in its possibilities as in the dependencies, power structures and forms of surveillance it can create.

I want to contribute to demanding, meaningful projects, digital or otherwise. My writing and travels belong here too: they are part of what I learn, what I question and how my perspective develops.

Agora — Debate graph

An exploration of how to make public disagreements easier to understand by connecting arguments, objections, responses, facts and sources without imposing a conclusion.

  • Contrasting arguments
  • Visible sources
  • Explicit uncertainty
Explore the project’s intent

Why this project?

Public debate often mixes facts, interpretations, causal claims, predictions and values. Agora aims to make these differences visible so that people can better understand where a disagreement actually lies.

Objective

Organize a public question as a graph of supporting and opposing arguments, objections, responses, evidence and sources. The goal is not to tell people what to think, but to make reasoning easier to examine and challenge.

Design principles

Present the strongest arguments from different positions, preserve original sources, make uncertainty visible and avoid simplistic truth scores when a controversy also involves values.

Current state

An unpublished local prototype already makes it possible to explore a demonstration debate through a graph and an accessible text view, search and filter its elements, consult their sources and prepare a contribution that remains in the browser. It does not yet include accounts, remote collaboration or a public moderation system.

Open questions

The initial audience, editorial governance, contribution verification, moderation, hosting and future connections with Reflection Studio and the Democratic Observatory remain to be defined.

A background at the crossroads of computer science, finance and Web3, extended through software work in demanding business environments.

Hybrid education

A technical foundation complemented by finance and blockchain technologies.

  • Education at the crossroads of computer science, finance and Web3

  • Academic projects kept as learning evidence without presenting them as products

  • A lasting interest in the economic, social and political impact of technology

Business practice

Current experience in life insurance, working with real systems and operational needs.

  • Building and evolving business web interfaces

  • Batch processing and workflow automation

  • Contributing to document management systems

  • Integrating with existing information systems

Working method

Understand the need, move through verifiable steps and make limitations explicit.

  • Frame the problem, users and useful scope

  • Build in clear increments instead of working through a long tunnel

  • Test behavior, accessibility, security and performance according to risk

  • Document decisions, trade-offs and remaining improvements

A bit more personal

What drives me

Beyond code, these are the ideas that shape my path: building, learning, questioning, discovering and moving forward without losing myself.

Being wary of simple oppositions

A personal reflection on our tendency to simplify reality, binary oppositions, responsibility, determinism and the difficulty of understanding without excusing.
